Historically, community shuttle routes have been given numbers in the 400's. However there are now many expections to this trend as it depends on the time of day and week. Some new routes that have started as community shuttles have also been given route number's not in the 400's.

All community shuttle buses that Calgary Transit has operated are listed in the below table with a few exceptions. The first 11 buses were 1987/1989 General Motors Van 30 models with the numbers 1951-1961, these were leased from Cardinal Coach Lines and returned in 1991/1994. In late 2007 and 2009, Calgary Transit took delivery of 24 Eldorado EZ Rider-II 30ft. buses. These buses are used on Community Shuttle runs, but have their own gallery on this website.

All Community Shuttle buses with the exception of some earlier ones are powered by diesel engines and not gasoline. Seating, the majority of Calgary's Community Shuttles, excluding the GMC Van30, Thomos Minitour and Thomas Vista have 21 passenger seats.

NOTE: Many of Calgary Transit's shuttles are commonly refered to as "Crestline", Crestline is a DISTRIBUTOR of various buses built by other companies.
