Welcome to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) photo gallery. The CTA began operations in 1947 after acquiring the Chicago Rapid Transit Company and the Chicago Surface Lines. It operates numerous rail lines and surface bus routes in Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

Below is a sample of what the CTA operates, but by no means complete in covering the CTA throughout it's history.

2003 NABI 60LFW 7571 This order was primarly to replace the MAN articulated buses which were around 20 years of age. The order was for 226 buses and was the first North American Bus Industires (NABI) vehicles ever operated by the CTA. 7571 is seen on the Route 147 Howard/Red L. 1/02/2005
