ETS New Flyer D40LF
Welcome to the New Flyer D40LF photo gallary. Edmonton Transit took delivery of their first New Flyer D40LF's in 1993. Since then ETS has taken delivery of 536 D40LF's. These order's are from 1998 to 2006 and 1993/1994. These buses are low floor and have a kneeling feature. Some of these buses have bike racks and all have two wheelchair positions. The destination signs are as follows: 1993/1994 order have Luminator Flipdots, 1998-2001 have Balios LED and 2002-2006 have Luminator Horizion LED's. Orders from 1998 to 2004 have the Thermo King rear mounted heater/cooler units. The powertrains are as follows: 1993/1994 Detroit Diesel 6V92TA with ZF 4HP500, 1998-2003 Cummins C8.3/ISC (same engine) with Allison B400R5 and 2004-2006's Cummins ISL with Allison B400R5.
