Hong Kong Volvo Olympians (B10T)

The Volvo Olympian was introduced to Hong Kong after Volvo took over production of the Olympian from Leyland. This was in 1994 when Kowloon Motor Bus, Citybus and China Motor Bus all took delivery of air conditioned Volvo Olympians. Delivery's of air conditioned Olympians to Hong Kong bus companies continued till 1998. In 1995, Kowloon Motor Bus took delivery of 30 non air conditioned Volvo Olympians making it their last order of non air conditioned buses. Around 1150 Volvo Olympians were delivered to Hong Kong during this time. Walter Alexander bodies were fitted on most Olympians with some having Plaxton bodies. Olympians came with either Cummins LT10, Volvo TD102KF or Volvo D10A engines with Voith or ZF transmissions. Volvo Olympians came in either 12m, 11m or 10.4m lengths.
