Welcome to the photo gallery for the New Flyer Industries 2010 XDE40 Xcelsior demonstration bus. This is a diesel-electric hybrid bus utilizing the Allison Ep 40 Hybrid Drive and a Cummins ISL9 engine. This bus spent some time operating in Vancouver for evaluation purposes during the summer of 2011. It operated with West Vancouver Municipal Transit and then out of Coast Mountain Bus Company's Burnaby garage.
All photos below were taken on Route 106 operating between Metrotown, Edmonds and New Westminister Stations. All photos were taken the morning of July 15, 2011.
