SamTrans Photos

Welcome to the San Mateo County Transit District, CA. (SamTrans) photo gallery. SamTrans was formed by the merger of 11 different bus systems in the county on July 1, 1976. SamTrans has grown from a bus only system to now being extensively involved in co-managing operations of Caltrain and is stakeholder of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system. As of February 2006, Samtrans had a fleet of 339 buses for regular service and 77 paratransit vehicles. SamTrans operates about 60 routes covering destinations in the county and providing connections to the Transbay Terminal in downtown San Francisco.

Below is a limited sample of the current SamTrans fleet and is by no means extensive.
