All buses feature unique liveries featuring wildlife photography from Banff National Park. Operation of Banff Transit (Roam) was contracted to Brewster Transportation. Eventually, operations were turned over entirely to the Town of Banff and Canmore. Roam Transit began service on June 2, 2008 with local Routes 1 and 2, later adding the seasonal Route 4. The Canmore connector service (Route 3) began operating on December 3rd, 2012. Canmore local serivce (Route 5) began in early 2017. Service on Route 6 to Lake Minnewanka began in summer 2017. At the start of the winter of 2018 service to Lake Louise from Banff on Route 8X began. Additionally in the summer of 2019, service to Johnstone Canyon and Banff Centre began on Routes 7 and 9 began respectively.

Prior to Brewster opearting the service, Banff Transportation and Tours was the operator. For a short time period at the end of 2007 and earlier part of 2008, Pinnacle (now Canada Coach Lines) operated service as well. These buses are all noted under Former Operations below.
