Welcome to the photo gallery for the Bombarier Flexity Streetcar demo in Vancouver, BC. Two of these streetcars on loan from Brussels, Belgium, belonging to the Brussels Transport Company. The demo ran from January 21st to March 21st, 2010, during the 2010 Winter Olympics that were hosted by Vancouver and Whistler, BC. The streetcars ran on the exisiting Downtown Historic Railway line, connecting the popular Granville Island with the Olympic Village Canada Line Station. The demo was a joint project between the City of Vancouver and Bombardier. Bombardier ran the service 18 hours a day for the entire duration of the demo, free of charge.
