Welcome to the Red Deer Transit New Flyer D40LFR photo gallery. Red Deer Transit has operated 35 New Flyer D40LFR buses. The first order arrived in the summer of 2007 (#726-732), the second order arrived in the summer of 2008 (#780-785), the third order arrived in the spring of 2009 (#818-824), the fourth order in the summer of 2010 (#863-868) and the fifth order in the Fall of 2010 (#889-897). These buses are equipped with a wheelchair ramp, two wheelchair positions and can kneel. The buses have Luminator Horizon LED destination signs. The powertrain is a Cummins ISL engine with an Allison B400R6 transmission. In 2017 the first order (2007) units were sold off with an influx of Nova Bus LFS CNG buses, followed by the 2nd order (2008) units being sold off in 2018 and early 2019. Sold buses went to Sunshine Village Ski Resort (AB.), Cape Breton and another small operator in Quebec.
