Regina Transit GM-MCI Classic Photos

Welcome to the Regina Transit photo gallery for General Motors and Motor Coach Industries TC40102N "Classic" buses. A total of 52 TC40102N "Classic" buses were delivered to Regina Transit between 1984 and 1992. From 1984 to part way through 1987, the buses were built by General Motors, these buses received numbers 534 to 547, all of these buses were powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V71N engine with an Allison V730 transmission. From part way through 1987 to 1992 the buses were built by Motor Coach Industries and were numbered 548 to 585. The first batch of thse (#548-553) were powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V71N engine and an Allison V731 transmission. While the remainder were powered by larger Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines and Allison V731/VR731 transmissions. As of April 2012, there were large gaps in the fleet as a handful had already been retired. A large numebr of these buses received some refurbishing with the new livery, LED upgrades and new destination signs.
