Sound Transit Gillig Phantom

Welcome to the Sound Transit Gillig Phantom photo gallery. Sound Transit operates 122 Gillig Phantom buses, they make up about half of the entire bus fleet. The first 70 (#9000-9069) are 1999 units that are powered by Cummins ISM engines and Allison B400R transmissions. 20 more with the same drivetrain followed in 2001 (#9070-9089). In 2005, 2 units (#9090-9091) were delivered with Cummins ISL engines and Voith D864.5 transmissions. In 2008, 30 units (#9092-9121) were delivered with Cummins ISL engines, the first 10 have Voith D864.5 transmissions and the later 10 have Allison B400R transmissions. All the buses are equipped with suburban reclining seats, reading lights and overhead luggage racks.
