York Region Transit MCI Classic

Welcome to the York Region Transit MCI Classic photo gallery. York Region Transit (YRT) operates 9 MCI Classic buses built in 1989/1990. All the buses were originally Markham Transit before the formation of YRT. #2044-2047 are built in 1989, while #2048-2052 are built in 1990. All buses use a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine with a 3 speed Voith D863.3 transmission. In 2003, YRT bought 4 ex-UTA (Salt Lake City) 1983 GM Classics #8301-8304, but these buses have been retired. As of early 2008, the Markham MCI Classics were all active. For YRT roster infromation please click here.
